Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you use the Rock Springs Concrete website, ask us for an estimate or hire us for concrete work. Using the site or booking a job means you accept them, so please read them before you do.
Rock Springs Concrete is a concrete contractor in Rock Springs, WY. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Rock Springs Concrete and our crew, and "you" means the person using the site or hiring us. You can learn more about who we are on our About page.
The work we offer
We build and repair concrete for homes and businesses, including driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, foundations, footings, retaining walls and decorative work. The services listed on our home page describe the kinds of jobs we take on. They are not a promise that we can do a particular job at a particular site.
The exact work on your job is set out in the written estimate or agreement we give you. If something isn't written there, it isn't part of the job unless we both agree to it later.
Estimates and pricing
Our estimates are free, done in person and obligation-free, and we reply to estimate requests within 1 business day. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure at your property on the day we visit.
Prices on the site, if any are shown, are general information and not a quote for your job. Your price depends on things like the size of the area, how much digging out and base work it needs, access for equipment, the finish you choose and the condition of any old concrete we remove.
Some conditions only show up once the ground is open, such as soft soil, buried debris or old slabs under the surface. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we'll stop, explain it to you and get your approval before we go ahead with any extra work.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We schedule jobs in the order they're confirmed and give you a planned start date. Concrete depends on the weather, so we may move a pour if it's too cold, too hot, too wet or too windy to do it right. We'll let you know as early as we can when that happens.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (307) 209-5832 as soon as you know. Once we've ordered materials or set forms for your job, you may be responsible for those costs, and your written agreement will say how that works for your job.
We may also need to reschedule or cancel for reasons outside our control, such as supplier delays, equipment breakdowns or unsafe site conditions. In that case we'll work with you on a new date, and we're not responsible for costs caused by the delay.
Payment
Your written estimate or agreement sets out the price, any deposit and when each payment is due. Please read it before you sign, and ask us about anything that isn't clear.
Payment is due on the dates in your agreement. If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's paid, and we may use the collection steps Wyoming law allows.
Your part of the job
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to tell us about anything we should know before we dig, such as sprinkler lines, buried wires, septic systems or drainage problems. Underground utilities need to be marked before excavation, and we'll talk with you about that when we schedule.
You're responsible for confirming where your property lines are and for any rules your homeowners association sets. Whether your job needs a permit is something to settle before work starts, and your written agreement will say who handles it.
Fresh concrete needs time to cure, which means hardening and gaining strength before it's used. We'll tell you when you can walk on it and when you can drive on it, and keeping people, pets and vehicles off it until then is your responsibility.
What to expect from concrete
Concrete shrinks as it cures and moves with the ground and the seasons, so small hairline cracks are normal and are not a defect. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack, to keep cracks where they do the least harm, but no contractor can promise a slab that never cracks.
New concrete will vary somewhat in color and texture from old concrete and from section to section, especially with stamped and colored work. Patches and additions won't match existing concrete exactly.
Warranties
Rock Springs Concrete is licensed and fully insured. Any warranty on your job is the one written in your estimate or agreement, and it applies only to the work we did.
A warranty doesn't cover damage from things outside our control, such as soil movement, poor drainage that isn't part of our job, tree roots, heavy loads beyond what the slab was built for, de-icing salts, lack of upkeep, or changes made by someone else after we finish.
Outside of any written warranty, and to the extent the law allows, our work and this website are provided as they are, without other promises, stated or implied.
Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, Rock Springs Concrete is not responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of your property, lost income or the cost of other contractors, that come from our work or from using this website.
If we are found responsible for a loss connected to a job, our total responsibility will not be more than the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that Wyoming law doesn't allow us to limit.
Settling a disagreement
If you have a problem with our work or a bill, please tell us first so we can look at it with you. Most issues get sorted out with a phone call and a visit to the site.
If we can't settle it between us, either of us may take the matter to a court with authority to hear it in Wyoming. You and we each agree to try to work it out in good faith before going to court.
Governing law
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the one that applies. Work under a signed agreement follows the terms in place when you signed, unless we both agree in writing to change them.
Questions about these terms
If anything here is unclear, call us at (307) 209-5832 or reach us through our Contact page, and we'll explain it before you book.
